Hi everyone, I bought a Savic royal suite 95 for our rats for Xmas - it’s great and they live it BUT my god they are making a mess with their bedding! We use finacard and it’s coming out everywhere.
Has anyone had a deep plastic tray made for their cage? If so could you tell me where you got it and if possible the size as I don’t trust my measuring skills!! Thank you

Oh yes! A deep perspex tray will make all the difference for you.
I ordered the cut to size panels of clear perspex from here https://www.sheetplastics.co.uk/product ... ylic-sheet.
I like the 4mm thickness best, and my base was 890mm x 595mm
For 15cm high sides, the two long sides will be 150mm x 890mm
Then for 4mm thickness, the short sides would be 150mm x 587mm
I've joined mine together with industrial strength superglue, but you can use gorilla tape.

For a good bond with perspex, you can use an acrylic welding cement instead of glue/adhesive. An acrylic weld actually melts the two pieces of acrylic together to create a very strong join.
