Rat sitting/feeding

We are going on holiday for a week shortly. I have a rat sitter set up but she may not be able to have them. I have a pet sitter visiting the house twice daily for my chinchilla, cat and aviary birds, although the times may not be as set as my feeding time for the boys, 7am and 6pm. If I ask the pet sitter to feed them (scatter feed dry food) how important is it that they won’t be fed at the same time as I feed them? It may be something like 9am and 6pm. :?

Time's not important at all - a wild rat wouldn't be eating at set times ;)

If you've been feeding them on a particular schedule then they'll have learned to expect that, but other than a bit of confusion and consternation it won't hurt them at all to be fed at slightly different times for a week.

Enjoy your holiday! 8-)
