Mine are getting a lot of forage at the minute, which they're not overly appreciating, but tough
Mostly combinations of: various grass species, brambles, goosegrass, dandelion, sorrel, chickweed, rosebay willowherb, clover and hawthorn.
Last night they got some barley/ lentil/ veggie soup leftovers, which the oldies especially appreciated.

Today my babies have eaten fresh carrot, corn and peas. They had cooked broccoli and cauliflower. I saw that someone gave their rats potato skins, is that cooked or raw? I am buying them some fresh fruit tomorrow. Any ideas which fruits are best for their health? By health I mean nutritional intake really. So anything packed with the good stuff! Also, is it ok to give them a boiled egg each a few times a year? I have seen people do this but wasn't sure if it was ok! :dumbo:

They had: Vegetarian "chicken" burgers (I thought they were vegan... turned out they had egg in them, so fed them to the rats, mice and hamster instead! ), rocket, red grapes and spring greens.

Butternut squash, Tuna, Cous Cous and "carribean pork and vegetables" baby food. With extra Tuna for the nursing mum. I've gotten so used to making mushy foods for the babies it wasn't until I went to feed it to them I forgot I have no babies who can eat here.

*MORE PAGE SPAM!*

Broccoli, blueberries, pak choi and the rest of the strawberries today. I did let them pea fish earlier today, as it got very hot here (Heating was on full blast by accident and it was pretty sunny outside!) also.

Hahahaa! Mine aren't really getting anything of particular interest at the minute. Mostly because Tesco is being really boring with what's reduced

Last night they got Brussel sprouts, green beans, chopped carrot/ squash/ potato cubes, parsley, mint and bit of spicy bread the babies chucked off my plate onto the carpet.

Gave mine coconut today. I've given it to the rats in the past, but the first time any of them have ever had it. They're from Tesco and have a bit of the nut at the bottom still... they haven't touched it!

Co-op had some really super reduced chicken yesterday, so they got that :D Babies got first dibs and then a bit of a free for all that was hilarious to watch. Also spring greens, courgette and carrots. Plus some seeded bread for the oldies.

All the thingies are growing. So this week they've mostly had greenery. Variations on dandelion, goosegrass, ground elder, about 6 grass species, clover, common vetch, cow parsley, sorrel, hawthorn, birch and ash :D
