I have no idea what it is (Latin names forever evade me  ), but I certainly feed my rats green pepper!

Yep, it's the sweet / bell peppers - I've gone all australian on the names (although I still refuse to call a courgette a zuchinni, especially as they still call baby courgettes, courgettes)

Some chopped onion, red pepper, carrot and potato - after it had been boiled, and before it got blitzed into soup.

I admit, the last couple of days they've had nothing special (sick animals have been taking up all my time):(! BUT I did buy a mint plant in a pot for them to destroy during free range tonight! This is the first time I've tried this, so I'm excited! ANDD they're gonna have some rattie pancakes tonight! (I know we are a day late! but assignments and sick animals left no time for pancake day! so we are celebrating tonight!)

For Ollie (my boy who is having trouble with facial abscesses and lost weight so we are hand feeding him to try and fatten him up! so far he has gained 23g!):
Couscous, grilled tofu, quinoa, grated garlic with porridge (with unsweetened oat milk), squashed banana and nutri-cal for later!

my copy of Scuttling Gourment arrived today, so I'm excited to try some of the recipies in there too

It's good :D

Last night they had the baked banana from it, but they were lazy and I had to scoop it out the skin for them because they didn't bother! They seemed to enjoy it though after the skin was out of the way.

Tonight the rats had butternut squash, red pepper and carrot soup (homemade!).

Ollie and Joey will be having some lentil, red pepper, potato and carrot puree.

If it was a lot more than usual, watch for loose poos over the next few days. Some rats are fine with big changes like that, but others can be more sensitive :)

The boys had cooked carrot, potato, french beans, raw garlic and raw brocolli.

Joey and Ollie had the same but the brocolli was cooked (apparently its harder to digest raw? and Joey has runny stools after his diet change). They also had it with coconut milk over it. This morning they had porridge again and in the afternoon they had a little bit of bread, apple and grape :)

Evening meal of, Naturesdiet, bulgar wheat, carrot, sweetcorn, tomatoes, with fruit salad of pear, apple, grapes and blueberries for afters - not that it will be eaten in the correct order. Bad ratty mummy that I am, has forgotten to buy kale/greens.

Melon and kiwi fruit, which I thought would be a super exciting exotic sweet treat for them which they're not bothered about. *I* would have eaten that -_-
And diced carrot and swede with linseeds and salmon oil.

Today's veggie/fruit feast courtesy of the 30p bargains on a late evening Tesco trip :P
