I'm picking another 10 days worth of ronaxan up tomorrow. :) Vet says dog cases of pneumonia can be on abx for 4-6 weeks so I'm happy with that.

I had a rat who choked a couple of times. The first time was the worst and she was more dead than alive for days. She really liked the stuff with her medication, but a side from that she didn’t eat. She just laid there and slept. The first ten days she would not eat anything but mixed and watered-down fresh food. She did make it and there was no noticeable lung damage left. She got NSAID’s for about ten days I think and baytril about twice as long I think.

I would talk to your vets about continuing the meds if he isn’t completely fine. My vets did not expect her to recover fully (or at all actually), but definitely considered it worth a try.
