I can't think of anything that could she could have suffered a trauma on, shes got HLD so she doesn't climb, shes in a 1 tier cage and theres no other rats around her that could have damaged he...

Ferret food in place of Dog food?

Totally hypothetical! We've got ferrets, whom are fed raw, HOWEVER we adopted a boy recently who's still transitioning from kibble to raw. I was looking at the ingredients on his ferret kibble and wondered if it's possible rats could have this in place of a dog food substitute. Heres the ingredient...

Re: Developing what I can only describe as Pica?

Shes perked right up, still chewing a little but the head tilts remained slightly. Otherwise shes returned to herself mentally at least and can climb and isn;t tumbling when lifted now.

Developing what I can only describe as Pica?

We've got a nearing 2 girl, who's currently being treated for a head tilt as of yesterday. Shes never wanted to nibble everything and has been quite good through her life. She now seems quite "off" shes been chewing on everything foreign until you take it from her, inedible things like tubes, balls ...

Re: Would metacam reduce swelling of PT?

Would metacam reduce swelling of PT?

We've got a girl with an ongoing case of random "lethergy" which is a suspected PT now she recovers with steroids. It left me wondering, during this time shes on steroids, (but not given right after the injection or before obviously) would Metacam help also further reduce the swelling of the potenti...

Re: 2 ill girls, lethargic - ETA now diarrhea, from steroid?

Watched her climb into the hammock just now (about a foot off the ground) I stood by with the door open in case she slipped. She seems to be re-recovering again. I'm happy but I wish I understood what it is, i'm beginning to get suspicious of a tumor due to her steroid injections. By the time i've t...

Re: 2 ill girls, lethargic - ETA now diarrhea, from steroid?

Sorry I hadn't updated, alive and well You couldn't tell she had been sick unless you seen her weight before and after. She seems oddly closer to me from this whole ordeal. I don't know if it's due to being "over exposed" to me while she was sick or what.
