Re: I have 2 female rats and my son wants to have a party

Noise wouldn't bother me (you should hear the volume mine gets too!!) but I would worry about people accessing them. I have been known to put rats in my loft before if that's an option?

Rat Rescues

Hey,
I'm a little bit out of touch with the rat world. What active rat rescues are still taking in and rehoming rats?

Re: Have we found a wild or fancy rat - help please.

S/he does look very poorly, hunched up and spikey up fur can indicate illness. I think it would be kindest to et him/her put to sleep x

Re: testosterone drop post-castration

3/4 weeks, try it, if they are still aggressive try again in a couple of weeks and repeat but I'd just wait if you aren't well enough to oversee stuff :)

Re: Rat breeders in Bristol with rats ready?

It's unlikely that a breeder would have rats ready now because ethical breeders often have a waiting list. You could try Rat out of Hell Resuce in Stroud or Milo Stud in Bristol.

Yes that is perfectly possible. Dumbo is not a dominant gene.

Re: Tips on managing an open wound

If it starts to smell I'd use anti-robe topically, nips any infection in the bud :)
