Re: Swollen Testicles

Boys do drop their testicles to cool down, I've also seen it in respy poorly boys, presumably from fever/overheating. I'd takes him to the vets in the morning to listen to his chest. We've had a listen - not with a stethoscope - and there doesnt seem to be any wheezing. I'll check again before bed ...

Re: Swollen Testicles

We're in Cambridgeshire...its not particularly warm here! His brother, Chuck, has regular sized balls....as far as we can tell!!

He didnt squirm when we touched them and is now sitting in his sputnik grooming himself.

I like the theory though haha!

He lives with his brother, they don't often fight, nothing more then handbags, we can't recall any tiffs over the last 24 hours so not sure ...

Re: Rattie with large tumor

Hi Thanks for that, but sadly she was pts on Friday evening after we noticed t he skin around the tumor had started to split. Unfortunately, she was not alone as we had to take another of our girlies, as an emergency, with her as she had suddenly lost the use of her front left hand and was falling o...

Re: Rattie with large tumor

She's 2 and a bit, the tumors cant be removed as they are too close to her lady parts! Apart from past chest infections she's fine. The weight loss is my main concern, as she feels like skin and bone and massive tumor!

Rattie with large tumor

Hi One of our girls has a very large tumor near her groin and it is now starting to affect her leg. She also has another growing on the same side but considerably smaller. Although this isn't affecting her mobility (she can still scale the cage) or eating, she has lost a considerable amount of weigh...

Re: Bleeding...any ideas?

Yes, the lady looking after our brood will be briefed to give continue giving ab's. She also works for Woodgreen so we trust her implicitly. We will make sure she is told if there is any deterioration in Cordelia that she can get her treated as she see's fit. Hopefully she will be ok while we're awa...

Re: Bleeding...any ideas?

Wow - thanks for all the replys!

We have dosed her up with ab's and the bleeding has stopped. Spaying is not an option at the moment as we are off on holiday and so will not be able to look after her.

We will look at spaying when we are back and the infection has cleared up.

Re: Three girls with lumps...what could be the cause?

Thanks, I just felt awful when I realised two more had the same thing. They aren't related but they all PAH ratties, don't know if that makes a difference? Am I right in thinking there is little that can be done for my lumpy old girls? - I know they can have an op but I know that there are complicat...

Three girls with lumps...what could be the cause?

Hi I noticed a few weeks ago that one of my girlies had a lumps under her arm, we have left it to monitor it and it is getting bigger but isn't effecting her movement, eating etc. She's still runs around and plays with the others. I have just got them out for cleaning and noticed that two of my othe...

Re: Help! Possible dislocation/break?!

Update on Esme - she seems much better today, only a slight limp so we'll see how she is over the next day or so and take her to a different vets if we need to on Monday - thank you all for your help!
