Hi, I have three six month old male rats. One is happy to be picked up, the other is a bit more frightened and one just keeps biting me. Are most male rats lazy?

I am new to rats and have read quite a bit about how the males are lazier than the females. This seems to be true in my case lol my three don't seem to want to do much at all but sleep. They are quite happy to be handled but I expected them to be a bit more on the go. Are most male rats like this?
