Re: rodent mix

i was thinking to mix some rice, barley, buckwheat, millet, linseed, hempseed, dried vegetables and dog kibble in it. this way the mix will be more varied, and the vitamine A will be lower. what do you think about this: 20kg rodent mix Garvo http://garvo.nl/front/productspecs.php?taalnr=2&productnr=3...

Re: rodent mix

i don't think that is the problem..... the fat % in my mix always was around the 4-4,5%, most of the times it had linseed, safflower and hempseed in the mix. i also added oils to their fresh meals.... maybe they didn;t get enough fishy things? but this rodent mix is vegetarian.... maybe i didn't fee...

A 5300IU vit.D 800IU copper 12mg calcium 5gr phosphor 3,69gr ingredients: French red ...

Re: vitamins; what is important in a mix?

you're right about that..... but if i lower one of the commercial foods to get the vitamine A right, then the copper will be around 6mg/kg, and vitamine D will be around 300IU/kg or so, also the calcium will be lower, maybe around 3gr/kg, so that is below the recommended amount of calcium, but the p...
