Have you separated the mum? She needs to be in a birthing tank or small cage. Too much space may mean she is too highly stressed to properly nurse the kittens. Bedmax is great :-)

The lovely large shavings are absorbent and smell lovely. They aren't dusty or dangerous to rats.

They still get everywhere but less so than some bedding.

Just to repeat what's been said- Firstly you are cleaning too often and they will scent mark to over compensate. Secondly get rid of the fleece, there are so many other options for substrate out there that absorb urine and smells better. Thirdly take out the shelves and add in more climbing opportun...
